Founder, Dentist
Dr. Monroe Elkin graduated from Brooklyn College of Pharmacy and practiced for 12 years in retail and with Eli Lily Pharmaceutical manufacturer. He returned to school and attended the University of Medicine and Dentistry. Over a 30-year period, he did full mouth rehabilitation and also the treatment of Bruxism using a nightguard. In 2004 he co-founded CustMbite, LLC to revolutionize the ease and affordability of making custom-fit nightguards. He was President and CEO of CustMbite, LLC and obtained a patent for a custom-fit nightguard without the need for a dentist impression in 2014.
From 1976-1978 he utilized portable equipment to reach non-ambulatory patients in homes as part of the New Jersey Dental Association Homebound Program, the first such program of its kind in the U.S. He was event chair for Opportunity Project, an organization for people with brain injury and Chairman of the Board of International Medalist Association, a non-profit organization working with inner city children in Baltimore, MD.
